If you are still interested in submitting an abstract, please send the extended two-page abstract according to the template and the below additional details to the conference organizers by email:

  • Full names + affiliation + email of all co-authors
  • Name of presenter
  • Assignment to a mini-symposia or a conference topic

Only abstracts prepared in accordance with the provided template can be accepted for inclusion in the Book of Abstracts.

Please note that only one presentation is accepted per registered participant.

Conference Topics

EURO:TUN 2025 will be concerned with innovative computational concepts and strategies for optimized design and construction of tunnels. Topics to be addressed include:

  • information modelling in underground construction,
  • computational modelling, machine learning approaches, and digital twins,
  • modelling of excavation processes and soil-structure interaction,
  • uncertainty modelling, and methods of inverse analysis and parameter identification,
  • design optimization and risk analysis,
  • soft computing, visualization, data mining, and expert systems in tunnelling,
  • advanced multi-phase and multi-scale models for soils and rocks and the temporary and permanent support in tunnelling,
  • process and logistics modelling,
  • other related topics.
